About this Product
Pine coasters burned using Lichtenberg technique in which a conductive medium solutions are used to move current from one probe to another. The current can be guided to a varying but overall small degree, so each coaster is completely unique.
Coasters are treated and finished over five days with polymerized Tung oil and then a very light application of a polycrylic, so they have some level of protection and a very mild sheen, but retain porosity to catch moisture from drinking glasses.
Fitted with felt pads on the bottom.
4" x 4" x approximately 0.3". Thickness may depend on availability, but purchases of multiple coasters will all be the same thickness.
Processing time depends on whether or not I have sufficient stock in the moment to fulfill your request. I sometimes have some backstock and sometimes they're made to order.est.

Meet the Maker
Hello! I'm just a lady living in upstate NY, fulfilling a lifelong dream of creating beautiful, unique products with the help of my very supportive partner and his equipment. I'm also a lover of animals, nature, photography, cooking, and fantasty literature.

How it’s Made
Wood rounds and squares are purchased pre-cut. We sand them here. An electrolyte solution is applied in two coats, and then wood is burned by encouraging current to flow between two probes held to wood. Coasters are then scrubbed, dried, and sanded again. Over the course of several days, polymerized tung oil and then polycrylic sealer are applied. Once the coaster is fully dried, foam dots are applied to the bottom.
Shop Policies
